Welcome to the Nation’s Capital Region site!
We are proud to be the first Maryland chapter of a national organization. Wild Ones: Native Plants, Natural Landscapes promotes environmentally sound landscaping practices to preserve biodiversity through the preservation, restoration and establishment of native plant communities. Our chapter, Wild Ones Nation’s Capital Region, covers Montgomery County, the District of Columbia, and Northern Prince George’s County.
Be Wild!
Consider a habitat in harmony with nature.
Wild Ones educates people about the importance of native plants, for the health of the environment and everything that lives within it. Wild Ones’ goal is to get more native plants in the ground in all types of landscapes – homes, businesses, farms, schools, and along roadways.
