Mark your calendars! National Seed Swap Day is this Saturday, January 31, 2026.
Celebrate with us at our next winter speaker series on Sunday, February 1 and plan to arrive a little early. We’re continuing the ad hoc NATIVE seed swap before the official session begins. You don’t need to bring any seeds in order to take from the pile. If you can bring empty envelopes (junk mail works great) or bags to bring your seeds home in, that’s wonderful, but we usually have extras. The event is free – registration is required.
Since 2006, National Seed Swap Day is observed on the last Saturday of January to encourage gardeners to exchange seeds, promote biodiversity, and prepare for the spring planting season.
