Carol is opening her garden to give visitors a chance see what she's done to change a traditional suburban yard into a lively, living collage of plants that captured her fancy.

She's cut back on the grass, added natives and edibles/medicinals, channelled neighbors' roof runoff into free irrigation, and improved the soil with nitrogen-fixing plants and mushrooms.
