Dr. Stephanie Yarwood from the University of Maryland will be speaking on “Microbial Ecology of Soils and What it Means for our Habitats”. Dr. Yarwood studies the microbial ecology of soils across many different ecosystems: agricultural, wetland, forest, and urban soils.
After the meeting, we invite you to join us for a short walk to explore the native plantings around the Visitor Center where seed heads, berries, stalks and fallen leaves provide winter habitat for so much wildlife.
