Volunteer with us!
Fulfilling our mission is only possible with the help of volunteers like you. We need your help! In return, you’ll meet great people, learn new skills, and acquire more information on native plants and our local ecosystems.
Here are just a few of the ways to get involved:
- Event Planning and Coordination: Assist with organization of chapter events such as plant/seed swaps, assistance at public events where we may have a table exhibit; social events for chapter members once or twice a year;
- Volunteer recruitment and coordination: assist with enlisting and assigning members who volunteer
- Communications: Chapter website, social media, reports to Wild Ones national office, write ups on our events
- Mentoring: As a ‘habitat steward’, advise members on the principles of ecological gardening (we will train volunteers as needed).
- Collaboration: Collaborate with other non-profits and businesses who share the values of Wild Ones
- Advocacy: Work with local government agencies and non-profits on issues related to our mission
Most importantly: Please reach out to us via the Contact Us page, on the member listserve, or in person at a chapter event with your ideas, suggestions or questions about what we might do together. We look forward to hearing from you!
